Samuel Eto’o’s career achievements are wide just as that of many African players including Asamoah Gyan, Michael Essien, and Didier Drogba. Eto’o as he is widely known is a retired Cameroonian professional footballer born on March 10, 1981, in Douala, Cameroon. He is 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in) tall.

He started his career at Real Madrid B and later signed for Mallorca, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Anzhi Makhachkala, Chelsea, Everton, and Sampdoria.

Eto’o is the fourth player in Champions League history to have won the trophy with different teams two years in a row.

He also played for the Cameroon national team, winning the Gold Medal at the 2000 Olympics and the Africa Cup of Nations in 2000 and 2002.

He is the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations with 18 goals and is Cameroon’s all-time leading scorer with 56 goals in 118 caps.

Eto’o retired from international football in August 2014.
