Muntari was a young football player who started playing for Liberty Professionals in Ghana.

Later, he joined Udinese, an Italian football club, where he worked hard and became a part of the main team.

He played for Udinese from 2002 to 2007, where he made 125 appearances and scored 8 goals.

After that, he moved to Portsmouth for the 2007-2008 season, where he made 29 appearances and scored 4 goals.

He then joined Inter Milan and played with them from 2008 to 2012. During his time there, he made 66 appearances and scored 7 goals.

In 2011, he went on loan to Sunderland, where he made 9 appearances and scored 1 goal.

The following year, he was loaned to AC Milan, where he made 13 appearances and scored 3 goals.

Later in 2012, he signed with AC Milan and played with them until 2015, making 57 appearances and scoring 8 goals.

Subsequently, he joined Al Ittihad in 2015 and played with them until 2016, making 18 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

It is on record that in 2017, Sulley Muntari joined Pescara and during his time there he made 9 appearances, among which he scored 1 goal.

Muntari in 2018 played for Deportivo La Coruña and made 8 appearances but did not score any goals.

In 2019, he played for Albacete and made 2 appearances but did not score any goals, he finally joined Hearts of Oak in 2022 and made 11 appearances, scoring 1 goal.

In total, he made 347 appearances and scored goals throughout his club career.

Muntari played for Ghana’s U20 team 7 times without scoring and went on to make 84 appearances with the Black Stars from 2002 to 2014, scoring 20 goals.
